WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE HIRING
A GRAPHIC DESIGN FIRM FOR A LOGO
Many people who claim to be graphic designers today, create logos using a program that generates artwork using stock images and effects that can produce an aesthetically-pleasing "bug."
However, there are several problems with this process:
1) There is no forethought put into the design, or the various multi-media usages of the image; or, how it will be perceived by the primary demographic audience that the client is trying to appeal to.
2) These various color swirls, lines and clip art images that are pieced together to form a logo, are also used by many other companies. This reduces the uniqueness of the logo and is detrimental in establishing a brand identity.
3) As the most visible representation of your company, a logo must communicate to people in a split second, and be memorable.
Below are several logos, of the hundreds that we have created, that are good examples of well thought out designs:
ANATOMY OF A GOOD LOGO
Creation of an original logo that can be scaled to any size and used for multiple applications from print to web to video. Or, if you prefer, we can clean up, alter, or re-design an existing logo for broader use.

2041 is an organization that is involved in global sustainability, as well conducting expeditions to Antarctica to demonstrate various technologies, and create awareness of the UN Antarctic treaty that expires in 2041.
The logo image above not only makes it easy to read the organization's name, but it incorporates the map of the world with Antarctica stretching across the bottom.
KB is an "offset" printing company that offers 100% recycled papers and vegetable-based inks that don't pollute land or water. In other words, they are a "green" printer. The placement of the leaf clearly jumps out to individuals who are concerned about the environment.
The PA Energy Games was an event held in Williamsport, PA to showcase equipment and companies involved in the energy industry in Pennsylvania. The "star" is located where Williamsport appears on the map; and the logo is encased in the shape of the state of Pennsylvania.
This logo was also made to print well in Black & White
All of these logos were made scalable to any size and designed to look good in print, on the web, on signage and apparel.
